Class Descriptions

Pranayama is a traditional approach to explore your breath and extend the length and quality of your life. You can expect a wide variety of breathing techniques aimed at desired results. Everything from warming and energizing to cooling and relaxing may be explored, as well as possibly breath-holds chanting, humming, ratio breathing and possibly kriya or bhanda work.
This class is a wonderful way to center yourself.

Dynamic Form Breathing is a style that focuses on moving the spine and extremities with breath to circulate the both your inner and outer environments. You can expect to stay seated while moving your backbone, head, arms, hands and breath!
This class is a great pick-me-up.

Oxygen Efficiency uses breathing techniques to optimize the way your body is using oxygen. You can expect a lot of breath-holding, nasal and ratio breathing, C02 tolerance measuring as well as strengthening and stretching your breathing mechanics.
Athletes as well as people with respiratory issues really appreciate this class.

Breathwork is circular breathing that brings the blood chemistry into a higher alkaline composition. You can expect quick cycles of breath, breath holding and possible emotional releases like crying, screaming or laughing as well as possible inner visions.
This class is a beautiful way to find healing and illumination

Enjoy 45 minutes of connecting with your nursing community and breathing to explore the benefits of breath. Each class will begin with a laid back group discussion regarding our lives as nurses and what we hope to gain from breath awareness.
This discussion will be followed by 30 minutes of breath exploration inspired by the conversation.
